Early Childhood Education: Pennsylvania Certification

The Praxis Core Academic Skills test can be taken instead of the PAPA test. Please note the PAPA gives students more time on the exam.

There are three test that must be taken:

Core Academic Skills for Educators: Writing

Qualifying Score: 162
Number of Question: 40
Time Given: 100 minutes

Core Academic Skills for Educators:
Mathematics
Test Code: 5732
Qualifying Score: 142
Number of Question: 56
Time Given: 85 minutes

The PAPA is divided into three modules:

Module 1: Reading
Number of Questions: 36
Time for Questions: 45 minutes

Module 2: Math
Number of Questions: 36
Time for Questions: 75 minutes

Module 4: Writing
Number of Questions: 36
Time for Questions: 75 minutes

Qualifying Scores are as following:

Reading: 220
Mathematics: 193
Writing: 220
