Google Workspace
Two good things: Google Drive is integrated into Canvas and Manor uses Gmail. There are a lot of tools that Google offers that can make things simpler for you. If you carry an Android device all of these features are at your fingertips.
Gmail
You can have your notifications pushed to your email. Set it up in your Account and enter your Manor email on the right under Ways to Contact. Go to Notifications and choose the items you want to be reminded of.
Google Calendar
Color code your schedule. Some professors may embed Calendar in your Canvas so be sure to take advantage of that feature.
Google Docs
Students faculty already have access to Google Docs through their Manor emails, and creating a class Google Doc can be a quick way of setting up a space for discussion and collaboration. If you ask your students to switch to Suggesting mode, their edits will automatically be color-coded.

Introduction

Canvas is the platform you use for viewing the classes you are taking, syllabi and grades, as well as to participate in class discussions, communicate with your instructors and classmates and etc. Canvas allows students to use G Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive, etc.) inside of Canvas without switching between tabs and having to constantly log-in. Browsers and Canvas

Some browsers perform better than others when accessing Canvas through the web. All work a little bit differently.

Chrome: Google Chrome is the best browser for Windows and Android devices. As Google Drive is your Canvas it's easy to go between features and products such Slides, YouTube and Docs.

Firefox: Firefox is the second best browser for Windows and Android devices.

Safari: Best for accessing Canvas through an Apple iOS device (Mac, iPhone, iPad).

Internet Explorer: IE is not recommended for most sites, but some websites only work with Internet explorer.

Canvas App

The mobile app for Apple and Android is inconsistent so make sure it's working. It is useful to check assignments and to have in your hand, but probably not the best way to submit discussions or assignments.
