Good writing develops over time.
Try to complete research and writing assignments as early as possible, to give yourself the opportunity to review your paper for spelling and grammatical errors, organization, and coherence. Pretend the readers of your papers know nothing about your class and the assignment. Anyone should be able to pick up your paper and understand it without needing any background information.
