Mezzanine: The third floor area of the Library is home to academic offices and the Mezzanine study area, which has a few tables and comfortable chairs - perfect for naps.
Center Space: Equipped with foot stools and group high-top tables, students are welcome to chat, relax, or catch up on work in between classes in a comfortable zone.
Carrels: We have individual study carrels along the windows for private study.
Group tables: Tables are located throughout the Library.
Lecture Space: Where we host special events, guest speakers, and seminars.
Outlets: There are outlets in the tables in the center of the Library, along with a number of outlets along the walls near the Carrels and a cluster of outlets near the center area. There are also outlets along the high top table.
Student Printer: The printer for student use is located behind the staircase just past the circulation desk. As part of your tuition, you get $60.00 of printing credit on your Manor ID each semester. If the printer gives you an error message about an insufficient balance, please see the Bursar's Office downstairs so that they can add the money to your card. Printing is 10 cents per page for black-and-white prints.
Chess/Checkers: There is a checkers and chess set in the center of the Library. Relax and flex your brain!
The Library has a self-serve Kuerig machine and water cooler. In our commitment to sustainability and decrease of waste we do not offer cups, please bring a travel mug or bottle with you or purchase one at Manny's Market. K-cups will be available in Manny's Market coming soon. You are welcome to bring your own and use the machine. Please dispose of any used cups, etc. Thank you!
Manor College Library is flexible space built around the different ways that you want to learn. As stakeholders at Manor we are open to your suggestions and ideas to help make it better. We expect that you would treat the space, equipment, staff, and other respectfully and considerately.
Please do not talk too loudly or behave in a way that is distracting to your neighbor.
Please take any phone calls in the designed spaces near the fire exits or out in the lobby.
We allow food and drink so you may be comfortable while you work. Please use the waste and recycling bins when you leave. Please attend to belongings. Neither the Library staff nor Manor College can accept responsibility for lost or stolen personal belongings.
Please leave any items taken from the shelves on a book cart. Don't re-shelve them; a mis-shelved book is a lost book.
