Welcome First Year Students!

As first-year students, you most likely will have questions about what to expect from college and your academic coursework.   For starters, there will be a lot of reading and writing required, much more than what you were used to in high school or previously. Getting organized and managing your time early on will be important. This guide will provide information about library resources and online tools that you can use to help complete assignments, projects, study for exams AND keep your sanity. It is also designed to cover many of the crucial skills (writing, critical thinking, researching and evaluating information) that you will need in college. These skills will not only help you here at Manor College, but also and most importantly to any other colleges and degrees you might consider and in your future careers.
